Red Wings Rule!!
My Detroit Red Wings made short work of the Colorado Avalanche as they swept the series with an impressive 8-2 win on Colorado's home ice. This was reminiscent of 2002 when the Wings beat Colorado and Patrick Roy 7-1 in the 7th game of that series.
Now they will have a bit of a rest before their next series, probably against the Dallas Stars. The Wings are clicking on all cylinders as Johan Franzen scored a hat trick and has 11 goals so far in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Henrik Zetterberg is also scoring in bunches and teaming with Pavel Datsyuk to form two very impressive scoring lines. The Wings look like they are on the march to the finals and, hopefully, win their 4th Stanley Cup in the last 11 years.

Boo hiss!! Time to go cry in my Colorado craft beer. What's with Colorado playoff teams? Rockies blow 4 straight in World Series. Nuggets blow 4 straight to the Lakers and now the Avalanche blow 4 straight to the Wings. Talk about an anti-climax.
